Matthew is an integral part of the vibrant legal team at Alexander Holburn, where he contributes his expertise to several key practice areas. These include Business Disputes, Franchise Law, Labour and Employment, as well as Wills, Estates, and Trusts.

At the core of Matthew's legal career is his deep-rooted passion for litigation. His extensive experience spans across various judicial levels in British Columbia, encompassing the BC Human Rights Tribunal and WorkSafeBC's Review Division. This diverse exposure has honed his skills in handling complex legal scenarios with a strategic and empathetic approach.

Matthew's journey with Alexander Holburn began with his articleship, culminating in his admittance to the BC bar in 2021. His academic tenure was marked by notable leadership and community service. As a law student, Matthew spearheaded a team of his peers and professionals in a volunteer legal clinic under Pro Bono Students Canada, located in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. His commitment to legal education extended to mentoring incoming law students as a peer tutor, demonstrating his dedication to fostering a supportive academic community.

Before embarking on his legal voyage, Matthew pursued and completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from the prestigious University of British Columbia. This foundational education played a pivotal role in shaping his analytical and critical thinking skills, essential for his legal practice.

Beyond the confines of law, Matthew embraces a dynamic lifestyle. He finds solace and joy in acoustic folk music, both as a listener and a player. His technical prowess extends to computer technology, where he enjoys exploring and innovating. Moreover, Matthew is an avid volleyball enthusiast, engaging in the sport for both competitive thrill and leisure.
