Her academic path led her from the University of California – Berkeley to the University of Michigan, culminating in a law degree from the University of Alberta. Kristine's roots trace back to Vancouver Island, yet her life experiences span far wider, having lived in countries such as the United States, Poland, and Germany, and her travels have taken her across the globe. Outdoor adventures are a staple for her, shared joyfully with her husband and their three lively children. Adding to her diverse skill set, Kristine is also fluent in French.

Her academic achievements are notable, with a Bachelor of Arts, earned with honors in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Michigan between 1999 and 2001, preceded by her initial years at the University of California from 1997 to 1999. She distinguished herself further by obtaining her law degree with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2007. A year later, in 2008, she was called to the British Columbia Bar, marking the start of her professional contribution to the field of law, particularly in insurance litigation, where she continues to make her mark.
