Kevin McCullough

With over three decades of experience in criminal law, Kevin G. McCullough has established himself as a prominent lawyer in British Columbia, handling a wide range of serious and intricate criminal cases. Mr. McCullough's recent years have been marked by significant cases. In 2022 and 2023, he is engaged in a prolonged and intricate murder trial in Vancouver, anticipated to extend until late 2023. The year 2021 saw him leading a murder trial in Vancouver, and in March of that year, he successfully got severe sexual assault charges against a client stayed in the Port Alberni Supreme Court.

The year 2020 was notable for Mr. McCullough’s defense in a grave sexual assault trial in Victoria's Supreme Court, resulting in an acquittal of all charges for his client. That year also involved him in complex pre-trial applications in a new murder case in Vancouver's Supreme Court.

In 2019, Mr. McCullough handled two extensive and challenging trials: a murder case and an arson case. In the latter, his client benefitted from the exclusion of confession evidence, leading to a swift resolution post-exclusion.

2018 was a year of notable successes for Mr. McCullough. A first-degree murder trial that commenced in Nanaimo in 2017 concluded in June with a stay of all charges. This trial spanned eight weeks for an Admissibility Hearing, an additional six days in December for a Disclosure Application, and continued into 2018 until its resolution. Furthermore, he represented several individuals accused of sexual assault, leading to the charges being either stayed or not pursued by the prosecution or police.
