Kellon McGuire

Kellon McGuire, who serves as an Associate Attorney at Tobener Ravenscroft, LLP, brings a unique perspective shaped by his San Francisco roots. Having completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of San Francisco, McGuire excelled in his law education, securing a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, in 2022. His academic journey was marked by a deep dive into the realms of negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, leading to a specialization in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

McGuire's profound connection to the Bay Area has sharpened his awareness of the region's cost-of-living crisis, steering his professional compass toward defending Californians against exacerbating injustices from landlords. This commitment mirrors his belief in his work's impact as both crucial and hallowed.

Throughout his law school tenure, McGuire distinguished himself nationally by participating in and excelling at various Trial Team tournaments. His legal writing prowess and eloquence in oral arguments in Moot Court competitions garnered him accolades for Best Oral Argument and Best Brief, among others. His commitment to social justice was evident through his contribution of over one hundred hours of pro bono work, notably assisting low-income workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which earned him the UC College of the Law Pro-Bono Award.

Even before his law studies, McGuire's passion for landlord-tenant law was ignited during a volunteering stint at a legal aid office in San Francisco's Bayview/Hunters Point district. The fulfillment derived from safeguarding the housing of numerous low-income families against mass-scale condo conversions propelled him through his law education and into his current role, where he zealously represents tenant rights across California.

Away from the courtroom, McGuire finds joy in live music, comedy, karaoke, and spoken word performances. He indulges in spontaneous explorations, binges on TV shows and movies via costly streaming services, and cherishes moments with his fiancé, painting a picture of a well-rounded individual dedicated to both his profession and personal life.
