In the realm of legal expertise, Robert's acumen spans vigorously across defending employers against various claims, ranging from administrative grievances and arbitration battles to intricate litigations. His legal journey embarked with hands-on courtroom skirmishes as a public defender in Los Angeles County, which honed his skills for over two decades of advocating for private individuals and corporate clients alike. His practice gravitates towards employment and labor law, with a particular focus on navigating the complexities of FEHA, FLSA, PAGA, EEOC, DOL, DLSE, Title VII, and OSHA disputes, alongside handling sensitive matters like workplace sexual assaults and class actions.

Robert's approach is not just reactive; it’s preemptive too. Through diligent advice, audits, and risk management counseling, he unearths potential liabilities, devising strategies to neutralize them effectively. This foresight extends to conducting training sessions for management and employees alike, aimed at fortifying workplaces against potential legal pitfalls.

His noteworthy accomplishments illuminate his prowess. He skillfully negotiated a settlement in a collective action over wage disputes among automotive inspectors amidst a company's merger talks. In the courtroom, he co-led a defense in a sprawling products liability case, carving a path for settlement strategies nationwide. On numerous occasions, Robert's tactical defenses led to dismissals of lawsuits alleging wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and more, before they could gain traction. This includes a notable defense victory in an alleged workplace sexual assault case, achieving dismissals for an entertainment establishment in an FLSA collective action, and safeguarding a city and its police department from civil rights allegations.

Robert's educational credentials, with a JD from Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School and a BA from UCLA, bolster his legal foundation. His linguistic skills in Spanish enhance his ability to connect across cultures. A proud member of the American Inns of Court and the holder of admissions to practice in all federal districts of California, Robert's legal fluency is comprehensive and impactful.

Each case in Robert's portfolio underscores a commitment to justice and client advocacy, reflecting a career built on rigorous defense, strategic foresight, and a deep understanding of the legal landscape.
