Karen Clabby- I Am writing to you to arrange a meeting for advice regarding a failed car repair by a mechanic. In January this year, one of the injectors failed, so I immediately went to a mechanic to have him repair the fault. I will add that the car has reached the mechanic. During the inspection, it was also found that one of the pistons was damaged, which required pulling out the engine, opening it and replacing the piston with a new one. I accepted this repair and work began. No further faults were found during this repair, so the engine was returned to its place. During the first drive (after theoretical repair of the unit), after a few kilometers, the warning light on the dashboard came on, so I immediately returned to the garage to verify the error. It turned out that the turbo was losing vacuum (I don't know what the error code was). The cause of the fault turned out to be one of the channels being clogged due to improper installation of the seal. The mechanic did not replace the gasket with a new one and used the old gasket to make sure he added silicone. However, the fault was eliminated and the car was returned to me. After collecting the van and driving approximately 700 km, the car suddenly lost power and stalled. I tried to start it but there was no reaction so the van returned to the same garage but on a tow truck. Unfortunately, after another inspection, it turned out that the engine had seized up and the reason for this was the old oil pump, which was damaged due to age, specifically a small valve inside the pump. The car is still at the garage and the mechanic promises to return the repaired van every week, but the car is still at the garage, unrepaired. I need advice on what I should do. Thank You
