Kathleen Hill

With over three decades of experience, Kathleen Hill serves as a planning director, collaborating closely with attorneys and clients on diverse land use planning issues. She specializes in development project pre-acquisition due diligence, obtaining project entitlements and building permits, and ensuring compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Since 2011, Kathleen has contributed as a co-author to the firm's Land Use Matters publication, showcasing her expertise in the field. Additionally, she actively participates in the firm's Pro Bono and Community Service Committee, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community.

Kathleen's extensive background includes various roles in both the public and private sectors. She has served as an associate planner for the City of Riverside and the City of Perris, gaining invaluable experience in municipal planning processes. Furthermore, Kathleen has worked as a planning consultant on a wide range of residential and commercial projects, including subdivision maps, zoning code amendments, specific plans, and general plan updates.

In her previous role as a site development manager in the wireless telecommunications industry, Kathleen played a pivotal role in acquiring real estate suitable for wireless infrastructure development. She expertly prepared and processed entitlement applications and negotiated approvals with public agencies across California. Leading a team of real estate, construction, and property management professionals, Kathleen ensured the successful execution of various projects.

Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, where she acquired the foundational knowledge that has guided her successful career. She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, participating in the Women's Leadership Initiative District Council.

In addition to her professional commitments, Kathleen dedicates her time to community service. She has served on the City of Long Beach Unified School District Asset Management Committee and the City of Long Beach Pedestrian Safety Advisory Committee as the District 5 representative. Kathleen's leadership extends to her involvement with the Junior League of Orange County California, where she served as president, further exemplifying her dedication to making a positive impact beyond her professional endeavors.
