Dear Mrs Katja Ravat, Please allow me to contact you today. I am a French film author and director, based in Paris. I've been working for 4 years on a 90 minutes documentary for ARTE Channel, about online child sexual abuse and exploitation. It's a international investigation in 8 countries : France, Germany, UK, Ireland, USA, Belgium, Canada and the Philippines. I am now in the phase of finishing my editing. In the documentary, I address the issue of cybergrooming and talk about Ayleen murder. The prosecutor of Giessen, Thomas Hauburger, contributes to the documentary with several interviews, and I was there on June, 13th, in Giessen to film the opening of the trial of Jan P. Mr Hauburger having told me that Ayleen's family didn't want to talk at all, I've never contacted them, to respect their grief and mourning. And as I make serious documentaries for a serious channel, very respectful of the victims, I've found other ways to tell that tragic story. I think that what happened to Ayleen can happen to any child, in any family, and my documentary aims to raise awareness about this scourge of online child sex offenders.
