Hailing from the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation in Saskatchewan and a survivor of the Sixties Scoop, Brad embarked on his legal journey as a partner at Maurice Law's Winnipeg office in 2017.

With over twenty-five years of practice, Brad's legal expertise spans a diverse range of areas, including aboriginal law, corporate/commercial law, civil litigation, and administrative law. Throughout his career, Brad has provided invaluable counsel to a wide array of clients, from First Nations to corporate entities.

Brad's legal acumen has been put to the test in various legal arenas, including appearances before the Manitoba Court of King's Bench, Manitoba Court of Appeal, Federal Court of Canada, and Federal Court of Appeal.

Notably, Brad played a pivotal role in defending a First Nation's tax laws under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act, marking a significant milestone in indigenous legal representation.

In addition to his legal practice, Brad has been a trailblazer in legal advocacy and community engagement. He served as President of the Canadian Bar Association, where he prioritized the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action. Brad's initiatives, including the CBA's professional development program The Path and the Truth and Reconciliation Toolkit for Law Firms, have left an indelible mark on the legal profession.
