Nancy Barker

Nancy Barker offers comprehensive guidance to clients in the media and entertainment sectors. Her expertise spans the spectrum of production, financing, distribution, and licensing of intellectual property assets in film, television, music, and beyond.

With a focus on mergers and acquisitions within the entertainment industry, Barker has facilitated notable transactions. These include Embracer Group's acquisition of the rights to J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic works, Dark Horse Media, and AGBO, among others. Additionally, she has been instrumental in United Talent Agency's strategic acquisitions, as well as in the sale of 300 Entertainment to Warner Music Group.

Beyond her corporate endeavors, Barker actively contributes to pro bono initiatives. She serves as chair of the Los Angeles Immigration Impact Project, aiding asylum applications and immigration-related matters. Furthermore, Barker represents Skadden’s Asian and Pacific Islander Affinity Network on the Los Angeles office’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee.
