Courtney Barbour

Courtney Barbour stands as a cornerstone of our Halifax-based Legal Services Centre, delivering a suite of indispensable corporate services. Her expertise spans a comprehensive range of legal areas, including meticulous due diligence, crafting and revising commercial contracts, securing NDAs, negotiating commercial property deals, and overseeing RFPs and tenders alongside service agreements.

Her contributions extend beyond day-to-day legal counsel to significant involvement in the broader legal community. Courtney holds a pivotal role on the board of directors for the Canadian Bar Association – Nova Scotia, where she also leads as chair of the Young Lawyers’ section. Her commitment to service is further demonstrated through her volunteer work with the Dartmouth Yacht Club as Rear Commodore and her efforts with the Convoy Cup Foundation.

Courtney's academic achievements were recognized early in her career when she received the Newfoundland Law Foundation Centennial Scholarship during her law school years at the University of New Brunswick. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Commerce at Memorial University of Newfoundland, laying a strong foundation for her legal expertise.

Since being admitted to the bar in Nova Scotia in 2016, Courtney's career has been characterized by a commitment to excellence, leadership in the legal community, and a dedication to providing top-tier legal services to her clients.
