Jessie Chisholm

Jessie embarked on her journey with MDW Law as an Associate, specializing in family and divorce law. Her roots trace back to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where her academic path unfolded. She pursued a Bachelor of Arts at Dalhousie University, majoring in Sociology and Social Anthropology with a minor in Law & Society, a testament to her deep-seated interest in the interplay between society and legal frameworks.

Continuing at Dalhousie University, Jessie earned her Juris Doctor in 2016. Her initial foray into the legal profession involved completing her articles at a boutique law firm in Halifax in 2019. This period was crucial for her professional development, as she also attained her Land Registration Act qualification, broadening her legal expertise to include real estate law in Nova Scotia.

Before joining MDW Law, Jessie honed her skills across various legal arenas. Her experience is notably diverse, having represented clients in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia (Family Division), Provincial Court, Probate Court, and even delving into the complexities of the Youth Criminal Justice Court. This extensive background equipped her with a unique perspective and a versatile skill set.
