Megan Sullivan

Megan's legal journey commenced with an eighteen-year tenure at a specialized insurance defense firm in Halifax, where she honed her expertise as a Legal Analyst. Her professional path has been characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence in legal research and writing, skills she meticulously developed through extensive experience in both insurance defense and general litigation. At MDW Law, where she embarked as a Staff Lawyer in May 2021 for the Personal Injury law and Defence group, Megan continues to apply her profound analytical acumen, assisting both associates and partners with her adept legal writing and research capabilities.

Her roots trace back to Orillia, Ontario, but for over two decades, Halifax has been her home. Megan's educational journey is marked by an impressive athletic stint as a varsity swimmer at the University of Missouri, followed by a legal education at the University of Western Ontario. Her legal acumen was further sharpened during her articling period at a prominent Halifax law firm. Beyond her professional commitments, Megan's life is equally dynamic and fulfilling. As a mother of three, she adeptly balances her family life with a plethora of interests including a passion for outdoor activities, especially those involving water or skiing, as well as travel. Her leisure time often finds her in the company of friends and family, indulging in exercise and other recreational pursuits. Moreover, her commitment to societal contribution is evident in her role as a member and supporter of Autism NS.

Megan's academic credentials are substantial, comprising a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri (1996), followed by an LLB from the University of Western Ontario (2000). Her formal entry into the legal profession was marked by her bar admission in Nova Scotia in 2001, signifying the beginning of a distinguished legal career.
