Aaron Gold

Aaron Gold became a key member of Babin Bessner Spry LLP, initially joining the firm as a summer student in 2020. His journey with the firm continued when he returned as an articling student in August 2021 after completing his law degree at Western University.

Aaron's time at law school was marked by significant achievements, including his role as Editor-in-Chief of the Canada-United States Law Journal. This publication, managed by students, delves into the intricacies of the trade dynamics between Canada and the U.S., showcasing Aaron's interest in international relations. Besides his editorial responsibilities, Aaron actively engaged in moot court competitions, enhancing his legal argumentation and public speaking skills. His commitment to community service was evident through his volunteer work with London Lawyers Feed the Hungry, reflecting his dedication to social causes.

Before embarking on his legal career, Aaron pursued an undergraduate and a master's degree in philosophy from Dalhousie University, displaying his deep interest in ethics and critical thinking. His leadership and teamwork skills were also demonstrated on the sports field, where he led Dalhousie’s varsity lacrosse team to championships in consecutive years.

Aaron’s interests extend beyond the legal field. He is passionate about cycling and hiking, embracing the outdoors whenever possible. His culinary skills are another aspect of his versatile personality, highlighting his ability to balance a demanding career with personal hobbies.

His admission to the Ontario Bar in 2022 was a culmination of his rigorous academic and professional training.

Aaron’s educational background is as diverse as it is impressive, holding a Juris Doctor from Western Law (2021), along with both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in philosophy from Dalhousie University, completed in 2018 and 2017, respectively.
