Graham Reeder

Based in the Toronto office of Gowling WLG, Graham Reeder contributes as an associate, bringing a unique blend of legal and environmental expertise to the team. Graham's journey through law began at Osgoode Hall Law School, where not only did he excel academically, securing awards for both his scholarly achievements and leadership, but he also engaged deeply with environmental justice through a clinic that led to a placement with an international NGO.

Graham's pre-law school experiences are marked by significant contributions to climate change adaptation efforts in Bangladesh, Malaysia, and the Maldives, leveraging his Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology from the College of the Atlantic. Furthering his commitment to environmental issues, he pursued a Master of Environmental Studies at York University, focusing on urban climate resilience in Southeast Asia, and shared his findings through published research.

Before officially joining Gowling WLG as an associate, Graham gained practical experience within the firm as both an articling and summer law student. In 2021, he was called to the Ontario Bar, marking the beginning of his formal legal career.

During his time at Osgoode, Graham took on significant roles within the student community, serving as the Senior Editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and co-president of Osgoode OUTLaws. His leadership and contributions to the field were recognized through several awards, including the Fogler, Rubinoff LLP Prize in Property Law, the Clifton Lane Memorial Prize in Property Law, and the Ronald J Rolls '58, Q.C. Prize in Civil Procedure.

Graham's involvement extended beyond academia into student governance as the Vice-chair of the Osgoode Hall Student Caucus. His scholarly work was further supported by receiving the prestigious Joseph Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship in 2016, highlighting his potential to impact the field of environmental studies and law significantly.
