Wei Wang

Wei Wang, an esteemed Associate at JSS Barristers, specializes in a myriad of legal domains. Her expertise spans corporate and commercial litigation, class action suits, insurance disputes, real estate litigation, insolvency matters, employment law, constitutional law, and personal injury cases.

Educationally, Wei holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary, where her scholastic achievements were celebrated with various honors, including the prestigious Justice Morrow Bursary in Law. Her tenure as an editor at the Alberta Law Review underscores her commitment to legal scholarship.

Before pursuing her Juris Doctor, Wei earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on law and society from the University of Calgary, where she was recognized with the Jason Lang Scholarship. Prior to law school, she gained valuable experience as a legal assistant in a mid-sized law firm.

Wei's dedication to community service is evident through her volunteer roles as a Student Case Worker at Student Legal Assistance and as President of the Animal Justice Association. She maintains active membership in several legal associations, including the Law Society of Alberta, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (Western Chapter), the Advocates' Society, and the Canadian Bar Association.

Originally from China, Wei migrated to Calgary with her family, bringing with her fluency in Mandarin, which enables her to provide legal counsel in her native language.

Beyond her legal endeavors, Wei's passion for animals permeates her personal life. In her leisure time, she enjoys companionship with her dog, indulges in gardening, and explores culinary pursuits.
