Shana Gordon-Katz

In 2017, Shana embarked on her legal career at Feldstein Family Law Group P.C., starting as an articling student before being called to the Ontario Bar in June 2018, which led to her return to the firm as an associate. During her articling period, she immersed herself in a variety of family law cases, laying a solid foundation for her future practice.

Shana's academic journey began at the University of Western Ontario, where she not only pursued an Honors Specialization in Classical Studies but also graduated as the gold medalist of her class. Her legal education continued at Queen’s University, where she distinguished herself by earning multiple awards, signaling her burgeoning interest and burgeoning expertise in family law. It was here that Shana delved deeper into the field, taking specialized courses and engaging in hands-on learning opportunities. Her role as a coach for the Walsh Family Law Moot and a placement that allowed her to work closely with esteemed family lawyers in Kingston, under the guidance of Professor Nicholas Bala, were particularly formative experiences.

Shana's approach to law is deeply client-centered, focusing on building strong, positive relationships not only with her clients but also with opposing parties and counsel. Known for her approachability, exceptional listening skills, and effective communication, Shana excels in negotiating fair and reasonable outcomes, striving for settlements that reflect the best interests of her clients.

Her legal practice encompasses the full breadth of family law, including divorce proceedings, matters of custody and access, child and spousal support issues, and the division of property. Shana is dedicated to finding the most favorable solutions for her clients, whether through amicable settlements or, if necessary, in family court litigation.

Beyond her professional commitments, Shana finds joy in a variety of personal interests. She values quality time with family and friends, explores her culinary skills through baking, tends to her garden, and is an avid supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Shana also indulges in her passion for the arts by attending movies and theatre performances, with a particular fondness for musical theatre. Additionally, she enjoys following reality competition TV shows like Survivor and Big Brother, rounding out a well-balanced life that complements her legal career.
