Julia Cicconi

Julia is rapidly establishing herself in the commercial real estate sector, with a keen focus on areas such as land development, real property financing, and commercial leasing activities.

After being admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2023, she rejoined Miller Thomson as an associate, a firm where she previously gained valuable experience as a summer student and articling clerk.

Her journey in law commenced with her obtaining a JD from the University of Windsor, where she actively engaged in volunteer work. She contributed her time and skills to Community Legal Aid and Pro Bono Students Canada, demonstrating her commitment to legal aid and pro bono work early in her career.

Before her legal studies, Julia pursued both her undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of Toronto. There, she not only excelled academically but also made her mark as a dedicated athlete on the Varsity Blues Women's Rugby Team. Her leadership and academic achievements during this time were recognized with the Gordon Cressy Leadership Award and the Ontario University Athletics Academic Award, marking a notable end to her graduating year.

Julia's community engagement extends beyond her volunteer work; she has held executive roles in the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund at Windsor Law and the Windsor Law Corporate Law Club. Furthermore, her dedication to supporting her peers is evident through her participation in the Windsor Law Peer Mentorship Program.

With her bar admission in Ontario in 2023 and a solid educational background, including a J.D. from the University of Windsor in 2022, an M.A. from the University of Toronto in 2019, and a B.A. (Hons with distinction) from the same institution in 2018, Julia is well-positioned to make significant contributions to the field of commercial real estate law. Her blend of academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement sets a strong foundation for her burgeoning legal career.
