Areesha Zubair

Since joining Mills & Mills LLP in 2023, Areesha has become an integral part of the Family Law group. With a decade of dedicated family law practice under her belt, Areesha has skillfully represented clients across various judicial levels, including the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and even the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Areesha's expertise is not confined to a single aspect of family law; rather, it spans a broad spectrum. She has become particularly noted for her work with high net-worth individuals and public figures, alongside managing intricate parenting dilemmas. Areesha excels in urgent situations, adeptly maneuvering through legal frameworks and court protocols to safeguard her clients' interests, whether it concerns preventing asset depletion or resolving disputes over parenting time. Her approach to sensitive cases is equally commendable, always seeking amicable resolutions whenever possible. Areesha's legal acumen is backed by a solid educational foundation. She is an alumna of the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, graduating in 2012 and honored with the Richard Weiler Mediation Prize for her exceptional skills in mediation, as well as receiving a grant from the Law Foundation of Ontario for her commitment to social justice. Her academic journey began at Ontario Tech University, where she completed her Honours in Criminology, Justice, and Policy Studies in 2009, consistently achieving Dean’s List recognition.

Beyond her professional achievements, Areesha is deeply committed to community engagement. Her involvement spans from volunteer efforts to memberships in organizations that make a difference both within and outside the legal sphere. Her contributions to the Punjabi Community Health Services, Women’s Legal Mentorship Program, and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic reflect her dedication to serving and uplifting communities.
