Karen Anderson

Karen oversees the Corporate Services Department, leveraging her extensive two-decade career to streamline corporate processes. She's well-versed in a broad spectrum of corporate activities, including acquisitions, amalgamations, and reorganizations. Karen's role extends to performing detailed corporate due diligence, particularly in the realms of insurance, corporate, and securities law. She plays a pivotal role in collaborating with high-level business leaders and legal departments, ensuring meticulous maintenance of corporate records and overseeing compliance filings across numerous corporations within the financial services, construction, and equipment sectors. Additionally, Karen dedicates part of her time to the professional development of junior law clerks through structured training and mentorship programs.

In her commitment to professional growth and knowledge sharing, Karen is actively involved with the International Paralegal Management Association and has previously contributed to the Alberta Association of Legal Assistants. Her pursuit of continuous learning is evident in her participation in a variety of legal education seminars, notably those offered by Osgoode Hall Law School. Karen is currently enriching her expertise through the University Certificate Administration Program at Athabasca University, adding to her already solid foundation, which includes a Law Clerk Diploma from Red Deer College and a Legal Office Administration Certificate from Sheridan College, complemented by her completion of Part I of the Canadian Securities Course.
