Louis Frapporti, a partner at Gowling WLG's Hamilton office, has recently transitioned back to his full-time legal practice following an impactful tenure as the regional managing partner. During his leadership, Louis was instrumental in spearheading significant growth and innovation within the Hamilton office. His strategic vision led to doubling the office's size through targeted recruitment and a landmark merger with ESB Lawyers. He was pivotal in the relocation of the office to the innovative McMaster Innovation Park, set to open its doors in 2022, marking a first-of-its-kind move in Canada.

Louis's forward-thinking approach also fostered key partnerships with local entities, such as the City of Hamilton's Economic Development department, McMaster University, and Mohawk College, enriching the firm's ties with the community. His efforts extended to chairing the initiative to host the Commonwealth Games in Ontario, aiming to bring the event back to the province for the first time since 1930. Furthermore, Louis initiated the office's first Community Summit and launched the Accelerating Business podcast, creating new avenues for engaging with clients and the community.

These initiatives have not only enhanced the firm's presence but have also been recognized with several accolades, including a City of Hamilton Business Appreciation Award and an Outstanding Business Achievement Award from the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.
