Good Afternoon, I am reaching out to you as I read through the media posts that you were the crown prosecutor in the Cindy Ali trial. I also read recently that she was acquitted or found not guilty in the second trial by judge only of killing her disabled daughter in 2011. I do not pretend to understand law however one thing that bothers me the most in the judge’s statement prior to giving her verdict was what she said and the quote is below. How can the judge acquit someone of murder yet having doubts about the story provided by the defendant?! This doesn’t make any sense! If one has doubts about the circumstances of the story provided by the defendant then one should have doubts about the credibility of the defendant and their guilt! The prosecution did do their job in the first trial where Cindy Ali was found guilty unanimously correct? I believe this judge’s decision must be appealed if possible! How can she acquit when she has doubts on the defendants credibility?! And why wasn’t the second trial done by jury too? Why by judge? This is truly in my opinion a miscarriage of justice for the poor young woman who died! And where was the rest of her family! I understand she has more children and a husband? And if the victim had seizures the day before why wasn’t she taken to the hospital???? I’m just outraged at the end result and I don’t think this is justice!!! Thank you!
