Jeffrey Mammon

Jeffrey's zest for exploration extends beyond the borders of his native Toronto, leading him to adventures such as whale watching in Nova Scotia's chilly waters and trekking across the icy expanses of Jasper's glaciers. This spirit of adventure has been a constant throughout his life, from his early days to his professional career.

His academic journey began at York University, where his dedication to his studies earned him a spot on the Dean’s Honour Roll, culminating in a Bachelor's degree. The call of the West then led him to Edmonton, Alberta, where he pursued a Juris Doctor law degree at the University of Alberta, before returning to Toronto to be admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2001.

Even before embarking on his legal career, Jeffrey's keen interest in finance saw him complete the Mutual Fund Licensing Exam with the Investment Funds Institute of Canada while still an undergraduate. This early foray into finance took him to one of the nation's largest investment firms, followed by a pivotal role at a regulatory organization overseeing Canada's mutual fund sector.

The establishment of his own practice marked a significant phase in Jeffrey's career, where he honed his focus on civil litigation and family law. His involvement as a Duty Counsel and his service with Legal Aid Ontario's Area Committee underscored his commitment to legal assistance and advocacy.

Jeffrey's legal prowess is notably evident in his approach to mediation and litigation. His capacity to facilitate dialogue among disputing parties, coupled with his substantial experience in both the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice, highlights his dedication to resolving conflicts. His advocacy for those less advantaged and his empathetic approach to each case ensure that his clients feel understood and supported.

His accreditation as a Family Mediator by the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM), following completion of the Family Mediation Certificate Program at York University, adds another layer to his comprehensive legal skills.

Outside the courtroom, Jeffrey's enthusiasm for sports is palpable, with unwavering support for Toronto's Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Raptors.

His legal acumen is further evidenced in significant cases such as Smith v. Porretta and Paunov v. Paunov, where his expertise in matters of mobility and the strategic importance of settlement offers have led to favorable outcomes for his clients. Jeffrey's journey, from a globetrotting adventurer to a respected legal professional, embodies a blend of passion, dedication, and a deep-seated desire to advocate for justice.
