Given the delicate aspects of her field, Lisa is known for her prompt and reliable availability, especially in urgent situations requiring swift legal intervention. She offers comprehensive legal support across various fronts, from dealing with regulatory inspections and criminal inquiries to navigating licensing disputes, compliance with statutory regulations, and handling grievances from residents and their families. Moreover, Lisa extends her legal expertise to employment-related issues within healthcare settings, addressing wrongful terminations, discrimination complaints, accessibility standards, and workplace disputes.

Lisa’s advocacy extends across numerous legal arenas, representing clients in front of a variety of courts and tribunals. Her role has placed her at the forefront of significant legal inquiries, including serving as legal counsel during the 2018 public inquiry into crimes committed by a healthcare professional. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been instrumental in advising on regulatory compliance and adaptations to legislative changes affecting healthcare facilities.

Dedicated to advancing health law, Lisa has led the Ontario Bar Association’s Health Law section and the Canadian Bar Association’s National Health Law section. A member of the Canadian Association of Workplace Investigators, she also volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario at The Hospital for Sick Children, offering free legal services—a contribution that earned her the Lexpert’s Zenith Pro Bono Award.
