Luigi serves as an associate within our firm's Litigation and Construction Law divisions, focusing his practice on construction litigation. He represents a wide range of clients, including general contractors, subcontractors, sureties, suppliers, and both public and private owners, which cover municipalities. His involvement spans various construction-related litigation issues.

Before his time at Torkin Manes, Luigi completed his articles and summer position with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, where he delved into complex construction and infrastructure projects. This role also provided him the chance to represent cases in the Provincial Offences Court, particularly those concerning violations related to natural resources.

During his legal studies, Luigi had the privilege of working alongside the Honorable Justice Peter Lauwers from the Ontario Court of Appeal through the Clerkships Across Canada program managed by the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice.

Luigi's background includes significant experience in the construction sector, which he acquired throughout his undergraduate and legal education. This hands-on industry knowledge informs his legal practice, particularly understanding the practical challenges his clients encounter. His industry insight was recognized when he was chosen as the sole law student to participate in the Annual Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships Conference in 2019. Furthermore, Luigi contributed to the development of legal arguments for construction and infrastructure at the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, focusing on a controversial mega-hospital project in Windsor, Ontario.

Luigi's credentials are backed by his admission to the Ontario Bar in 2021, a JD from the University of Windsor in 2020, and a BA (Hons.) from York University in 2016.
