Choosing the path of a lawyer was driven by a deep-seated desire to impact lives positively. From a young age, life taught me the value of empathy and resilience, shaping me into someone who consistently rises to meet challenges head-on. My journey through law school and subsequent legal training was marked by a deliberate effort to hone my advocacy skills, always with an eye toward finding the area of law where I could make the most difference. Representing Osgoode Hall in moot court and trial advocacy competitions, including an international moot at the University of Oxford focusing on media law and the intricacies of human rights like freedom of speech and privacy, was a highlight of this period. Moreover, engaging in clinical programs to offer legal advice to those in financial hardship underscored my commitment to accessible justice.

After completing my education at Osgoode Hall in 2019, I embarked on my professional journey with a dynamic downtown firm for my articling, an experience that exposed me to a multitude of legal disciplines. It was here that I discovered a natural inclination towards family law, drawn by its capacity to directly affect individuals' lives during their most vulnerable moments.

My academic background, with a dual major in Economics and Philosophy from York University, where I graduated magna cum laude in 2016, equipped me with a unique perspective. Working on econometric models and policy recommendations, particularly those influencing foreign direct investment discussions with the Government of Cambodia, refined my analytical and problem-solving skills. These experiences have been invaluable in navigating the multifaceted nature of family litigation, where emotional sensitivity and a strategic approach to complex financial disputes are paramount.

Since being called to the bar in 2020, my practice in family law has been vigorous and rewarding. I've advocated for clients in the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal, and represented them in various types of conferences, mediations, and arbitrations. The pride I take in my work stems from a blend of delivering sound legal advice and offering the empathetic support my clients need during tumultuous times in their lives. It's a privilege to guide individuals through the process of restructuring their lives and families, a task I approach with sincerity and dedication.
