Lilit Izakelian

Lilit Izakelian embarked on her legal journey with a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in 2007, followed by a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 2011. During her tenure at Windsor, she dedicated her time to volunteering at the Community Legal Aid Clinic, offering crucial legal support to those with limited financial resources and fellow university students.

After completing her articles at a Toronto-based criminal defense firm, Lilit was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. Her career path led her to work as an associate at a criminal defense firm in Toronto, before she made the transition to Caramanna Friedberg LLP in 2016.

Lilit has skillfully handled trials at both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, specializing in criminal law with a particular emphasis on cases involving drinking and driving, drug offenses, firearm offenses, and assaults.

She is an esteemed member of both the Law Society of Ontario and the Criminal Lawyers' Association, reflecting her commitment and contribution to the field of criminal defense.
