Salvatore Caramanna

Sal Caramanna, a distinguished graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School in 1995, has dedicated his career to criminal law defense since being admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1997. Renowned for his expertise in handling high-profile and complex criminal cases, Caramanna has made significant strides in the Toronto legal community as a defense counsel. His practice spans a wide range of serious charges, including but not limited to First Degree Murder, Drug Trafficking, Firearms offenses, Corporate Fraud, and Sexual Assault.

Known for his bold and creative approach in the courtroom, Caramanna has led numerous trials across various levels of trial courts throughout Ontario, showcasing particular prowess in jury trials. His work has not only garnered attention for its high success rate but also for the media coverage it has attracted due to the notable nature of many cases.

Caramanna's commitment to justice extends beyond the courtroom. He has been an active member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and the Toronto Lawyers Association and contributed his expertise to AIDWYC (now Innocence Canada) as Chair of the International Review Committee.
