Ever since I can recall, my passion for law has been undeniable, marked by a keen curiosity, determination, and a propensity to speak out. My journey into the legal profession commenced at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, where, during my second year of law school, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, a renowned firm on Bay Street, spotted and recruited me.

Upon being called to the Bar in 2005, I embarked on my career in their litigation department, focusing on commercial litigation. The demanding nature of this work, coupled with its long hours, was instrumental in crafting my approach to law. It instilled in me a meticulous attention to detail and a patient demeanor, while also providing a front-row seat to masterful advocacy, from which I absorbed invaluable lessons.

By 2008, after a period of reflection, I pivoted towards family law, driven by a deeper calling to assist individuals over corporations. This shift led me back to Kingston, where I joined a comprehensive service law firm and delved into the intricacies of family law. This period sharpened my awareness of the emotional and psychological strains such disputes exert on families, particularly children. It was during this time that I tackled one of Ontario's most distressing cases of parental child abuse.

In 2010, my journey took me back to Toronto to further refine my expertise in family law. I started at a mid-sized firm in East York, eventually becoming a partner in 2014, and later co-founded a successful family law practice, which I co-managed until 2021.

My practice spans the full spectrum of family law. Leveraging my experience, I seek out practical and economical solutions for my clients across various forums, from courts to mediation and arbitration, including the Collaborative Family Law process. With a foundation in business law and as a trained family law mediator, I excel at devising innovative solutions to complex issues, a necessity in today's evolving family structures.

Understanding the uniqueness of each family law case, I offer tailored advice, aiming for swift and harmonious resolutions. My clients often express appreciation for my approach, noting a significant decrease in their stress levels and an improvement in their overall well-being—a testament to my commitment as their advocate during tumultuous times.

In September 2021, I took on a new role as a lateral partner at Stanchieri Family Law, where I continue to represent clients facing intricate financial disputes. My work frequently involves business and property valuations, income assessments for support obligations, and family trust issues. My strategic approach and comprehensive understanding of the interplay between family law and business consistently yield favorable outcomes for my clients.
