Daniel Guccione

Daniel, now an integral part of the Financial Services team in our Toronto office, embarked on his legal journey with an impressive background, holding degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School, University of Southampton Law School, and York University. Since his admission to the Ontario Bar in 2019, he has quickly distinguished himself in the field, especially in banking and financial services.

Before his current role, Daniel honed his skills at Osler Works – Transactional, where he leveraged cutting-edge legal technologies to support attorneys across the firm. His work encompassed a broad spectrum of services, from assisting with the nuts and bolts of closing deals to conducting contract analysis and legal due diligence.

In his current capacity, Daniel specializes in facilitating secured lending transactions, where he represents banks in extending credit facilities to burgeoning and rapidly expanding tech firms. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role in covered bond issuances for Canadian financial institutions, showcasing his versatility and depth of knowledge in financial services.

A notable highlight of Daniel's career includes his involvement in the significant transaction for Maple Leaf Foods Inc., where he contributed to the successful negotiation of a $2.4 billion amended and restated credit facility. This deal not only underscores his expertise in managing complex financial arrangements but also his ability to navigate the intricacies of corporate finance.
