Bethany Nicholson

Bethany Nicholson embarked on her legal journey with Gluckstein Lawyers first as a summer student in 2021, before progressing to an articling student the following year. Her academic credentials were solidified upon graduating with a J.D. from the University of Ottawa Law School in 2022, marking the culmination of her rigorous academic pursuit.

During her time at law school, Bethany immersed herself in the intricacies of health law, serving as the Vice President of the Health Law Students Association. Her leadership skills were further showcased as she spearheaded the coordination of the Walker Health Law Moot. Bethany's commitment to advocacy was evident through her active participation in moot court competitions, including the prestigious Nelligan O-Brien Payne Moot and the BLG and Dentons Negotiation Competitions, demonstrating her prowess in legal negotiation and litigation.

Before venturing into law, Bethany laid a strong foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dalhousie University, graduating with honors. She complemented her degree with minors in Health Studies and Philosophy, enriching her understanding of the human condition and ethical considerations. Her pre-law school years were marked by a dedication to improving patient care and advocacy within the healthcare sector, working for a non-profit organization.

Bethany's professional focus is now concentrated on a diverse array of legal issues, including catastrophic injury, class action lawsuits, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, occupier liability, product liability, and cases of sexual abuse. This wide-ranging expertise underscores her commitment to providing legal representation for those harmed by the negligence of others.

Her academic achievements were recognized when she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa's English Common Law Program in 2022. Since then, Bethany has been admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2023, marking her formal entry into the legal profession.

Bethany's professional affiliations are a testament to her ongoing commitment to legal excellence and advocacy. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Carleton County Law Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), and the American Association for Justice (AAJ), reflecting her active engagement in both the local and broader legal community.
