Aida Nabavi

Aida holds a position as an associate within the commercial real estate sector of our firm, carving out a niche in commercial leasing. Her journey into law began at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she obtained her J.D., building on a solid foundation in Kinesiology from York University with a B.Sc degree.

Her drive extends beyond the confines of real estate law. Aida is deeply committed to championing rights and providing advocacy, a mission that took shape during her tenure at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre. There, she offered her expertise to numerous clients battling discrimination across Ontario. Her guidance didn’t stop there; Aida played a pivotal role as a mentor to incoming students at Osgoode, fostering a supportive environment for the next generation. Her involvement with Pro Bono Students Canada further underscored her dedication to making justice accessible to her community.

Aida’s engagement with her community is profound and multifaceted. She has devoted countless hours to volunteer work, contributing significantly to organizations like Circle of Care and the North York Harvest Food Bank. Her tireless dedication was recognized through a nomination for the Ontario Volunteer Service Award and a spotlight feature in the Circle of Care’s provincial newsletter as the volunteer of the month.

When not immersed in law or community service, Aida finds solace in running, often accompanied by the latest podcasts, blending physical activity with intellectual curiosity.

Her professional journey is marked by notable achievements, including being called to the Ontario Bar in 2021. Aida is a proud member of several associations, including the ICSC (Innovating Commerce Serving Communities), Christian Legal Fellowship, and both the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations.

Her expertise and insights into commercial real estate law were showcased at the International Council of Shopping Centers in May 2023, where she addressed the complexities of dealing with abandoned property, demonstrating her growing influence in the field.
