Andrea Marsland

Andrea, a key partner in the Employment and Labour Group, specializes in representing employers in various aspects of employment law. Her expertise encompasses handling wrongful dismissal cases, crafting and negotiating employment-related agreements, and advising on severance packages, confidentiality clauses, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, as well as drafting termination letters and HR policies.

Beyond contractual matters, Andrea offers guidance on employment standards, human rights issues, and HR concerns. She is proactive in workplace engagement, conducting training seminars and investigations directly within the workplace environment. Her proficiency in managing injunctive proceedings related to employment contract restrictive covenants is notable.

Andrea is the editor of the "Employment Matters" newsletter and is proficient in both English and French, enhancing her ability to serve a broader client base.

Her academic credentials include an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa and a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
