Gregory Ringkamp

Gregory Ringkamp, an integral member of our Litigation Group in Toronto, holds a dynamic general litigation practice. His legal journey is marked by significant academic and professional milestones, beginning with his distinguished graduation from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. There, he not only earned distinction status but also received the prestigious Samuel and Clara Shime Award for his notable achievements in the intersection of law and medicine. His role as a senior editor for the Faculty of Law Review and his recognition as the second-place oralist at the 2020 Davies Corporate/Securities Moot underscore his legal acumen and dedication.

Before embarking on his law career, Gregory made significant contributions to the field of medical research ethics at the Montreal Neurological Institute, focusing on experimental drug trials. This experience enriched his understanding of the complexities at the nexus of law, ethics, and medicine.

Gregory's professional path took him from completing his articles at a prominent full-service firm in New York to clerking for Justices Pepall, Brown, Miller, and Thorburn at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. This diverse background equipped him with a deep understanding of both American and Canadian legal systems, enhancing his litigation strategies.

As a proud member of the Law Society of Ontario, Gregory continues to contribute to the legal community through insightful articles and analysis. His work on identifying and critiquing serial certification attempts in class actions as potentially abusive practices has been recognized in legal circles, as has his comprehensive review of public procurement developments in 2022.
