Anagha Nandakumaran

Anagha Nandakumaran excels in handling legal matters related to technology, corporate, and commercial sectors. She offers guidance on a variety of complex issues, ranging from IT and non-IT outsourcing to software licensing, cloud services, and emerging technologies. Anagha's expertise extends to managed services, strategic alliances, privacy, and the technological aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

With a solid background as Corporate Counsel for a prominent North American IT corporation, Anagha has crafted and negotiated deals across the social, mobility, analytics, and cloud domains. Her tenure as Legal Counsel for a renowned Canadian insurance firm saw her overseeing technology, privacy, and commercial dealings. Furthermore, her experience at a top-tier Indian law firm allowed her to advise clients from banking, e-commerce, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and technology sectors on various legal challenges.

Anagha is actively involved with the Ontario Bar Association, contributing as a Section Executive to both the Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law Section and the Privacy and Access to Information Law Section.

Her academic journey includes an LLB from Jindal Global Law School, an LLM from the University of Toronto, and further education at Ryerson University. Anagha is a committed member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations.

Anagha's contributions to the field are reflected in her involvement in the Fasken Information Technology Practice Group Ontario Symposium and her co-authorship of articles addressing the development of AI systems and amending PIPEDA. Her role as a program chair for a session on navigating legal complexities associated with generative AI underlines her leadership and expertise in tech law.
