George Soules

George Soules excels in corporate/commercial and securities law, contributing his expertise to various transactions like mergers, acquisitions, and both public and private financings. His work also covers securities regulation and corporate governance, making him a versatile asset in the legal field.

His educational journey is marked by distinction, graduating magna cum laude from the dual JD program offered by the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During his law studies, George was actively involved, notably serving as the Business Manager for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues and assisting in teaching first-year contract law. His academic excellence led to his induction into the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society, an accolade for top-performing students who significantly contribute to their law school community.

Before embarking on his legal education, George pursued and completed a Philosophy Specialist program at the University of Toronto with honors. His academic background enriches his analytical approach to law, blending philosophical rigor with legal expertise.

George's early professional experience includes summering and articling with his current firm, during which he also gained valuable insight into securities regulation through a secondment to the Ontario Securities Commission.

His practice areas span the gamut of capital markets, corporate/commercial law, and mergers and acquisitions, involving him in both private and public M&A transactions across the Americas and Canada.
