Nazish Mirza offers extensive expertise in corporate law, specializing in both public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, finance, and private equity. Additionally, Nazish is well-versed in handling shareholder activism matters from both perspectives.

Before joining the team at Fasken, Nazish's career path included a stint at an international law firm based in Toronto, followed by a role as in-house corporate counsel at a prominent insurance company. This diverse background has equipped Nazish with a unique perspective on corporate law, blending external legal practice with internal corporate strategy.

Beyond the confines of the courtroom and office, Nazish is passionate about exploring the world, with past residences in Egypt, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam enriching this global perspective.

Nazish's legal acumen extends across various practice areas, including capital markets, corporate/commercial law, mergers & acquisitions, shareholder activism, and private equity, with a geographic focus on the Americas and Canada. This broad scope of practice underscores Nazish's versatile approach to corporate law.

Educationally, Nazish honed legal skills and knowledge at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, earning a JD in 2019, after completing a BA (Honours) at McGill University in 2016. This solid academic foundation has played a crucial role in shaping Nazish's legal career.
