Samita excels in navigating the complex landscape of commercial real estate, handling a diverse array of transactions such as acquisitions, sales, and financial arrangements.

With a rich background in offering counsel to both the private and public sectors, Samita's expertise covers a wide range of real estate dealings. She has been instrumental in advising on financing of real properties, drafting purchase and construction contracts, orchestrating condominium projects, and addressing affordable housing initiatives, among other real estate development necessities.

Her academic journey began at Western University's Faculty of Law, culminating in both a JD and an LLM. During her time there, Samita was deeply involved in the law school community, notably as the Vice President of Finance for the Student Legal Society and a key figure in organizing social gatherings for her peers. Her scholarly path initiated at Queen’s University, where she achieved her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies.

Prior to her current position at Fasken, Samita's legal acumen was honed at a prestigious regional law firm in Toronto, focusing on real estate. She further enriched her practical experience through a significant tenure as real estate counsel for the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, where she tackled a myriad of real estate issues firsthand.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Samita's commitment to the legal community is evident through her affiliations with the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto, and the Women in Infrastructure Network, underscoring her dedication to both her field and the broader community.
