Alexis serves as an associate at Lenczner Slaght, where her legal expertise is primarily focused on the intricate realm of intellectual property litigation. Her contributions have spanned several high-profile cases in the Federal Court of Canada, tackling complex issues around copyright, trademark, and patent infringements. Beyond the courtroom, Alexis provides counsel on regulatory affairs concerning a spectrum of products from pharmaceuticals and medical devices to natural health products, and even tobacco and cannabis.

Before her engagement with Lenczner Slaght, Alexis embarked on her legal journey at an international law firm, where she not only summered and articled but also began her practice in intellectual property law.

Her academic foundation was laid at the University of Toronto, where she earned her JD. Throughout her university tenure, Alexis dedicated her time to volunteer work at multiple legal clinics, including the International Human Rights Program, Aboriginal Legal Services Toronto, and Downtown Legal Services, specifically within the criminal division and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. Her commendable extracurricular efforts were recognized with the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award during her final year.

Alexis's pre-law school years were marked by her studies in Human Behavioural Biology at the University of Toronto, followed by a role at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. There, she focused on clinical data and regulatory coordination, primarily involved in phase I to III clinical trials for medical oncology and hematology.

Her legal acumen extends across intellectual property, injunctions, appeals, and commercial litigation. Alexis was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2019, bringing a rich educational and professional background that includes a JD from the University of Toronto (2018), a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research (Honours) from Humber College (2012), and an HBSc in Human Behavioural Biology and Psychology with Distinction from the University of Toronto (2010).
