Brian Kolenda holds a partnership at Lenczner Slaght, where he specializes in a diverse array of civil litigation fields. His expertise ranges from intricate business disputes and civil fraud to professional negligence and defamation, serving a broad spectrum of clients. These include both domestic and international corporations, professionals from various fields, non-governmental organizations, governmental entities, and regulatory bodies. Brian has a keen focus on matters related to fraud, securities, and complex financial products.

In his legal practice, Brian has both prosecuted and defended cases through trials and appeals, showcasing his skills in front of the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court, and various administrative tribunals.

Brian's academic prowess was evident during his time at Queen's Law, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Queen's Law Journal and was recognized with top academic honors, including awards for exceptional performance in several courses. He was a vital member of the Queen’s Law Jessup International Law moot team and currently contributes as a coach for the Queen’s Law Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association Moot team. Beyond coaching, Brian frequently serves as a moot court judge, particularly for the Jessup moot, and extends his teaching to international law courses within the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto.

His commitment to pro bono work is exemplified by his longstanding contribution to Legal Aid Ontario's Refugee Law Office, aiding clients in urgent deportation stay requests.
