Her academic journey was completed at the University of Toronto, where she achieved both a JD and a Masters of Public Policy. During her time in law school, Jessica led Pro Bono Ontario’s civil litigation clinic's student volunteers, took on the role of President for Out in Law, and contributed as an editor to the Indigenous Law Journal. Her academic excellence was recognized with a certificate in Aboriginal law and the Edward J Kowal Prize for her accomplishments in commercial law courses.
Jessica's advocacy skills were highlighted through her participation in the Laskin Moot, both as a competitor and a coach, and she was chosen to represent the University of Toronto at the Grand Moot in 2017, showcasing her talent in oral advocacy.
Before her tenure at Lenczner Slaght, Jessica gained valuable experience working with the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Crown Law Office – Civil Division as a summer student, and delved into constitutional law as a research assistant.
