Alexa Jarvis

Alexa Jarvis serves as an associate at Lenczner Slaght, where her role spans a dynamic array of litigation areas. She skillfully addresses commercial disputes, class actions, construction issues, and matters related to criminal and quasi-criminal law, as well as medical malpractice.

Before her tenure at Lenczner Slaght, Alexa honed her litigation skills within the dispute resolution group of a prominent national firm. Her courtroom experience includes presenting cases before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Divisional Court. Furthermore, Alexa has undertaken criminal trials on a pro bono basis, showcasing her commitment to justice in the Superior Court.

Her legal education was acquired at Dalhousie University, where she graduated with a JD. During her law studies, Alexa dedicated herself to various volunteer roles, including acting as a student advocate for the Student Advocacy Service and providing peer tutoring for the Indigenous Black & Mi'kmaq program. Her commitment to legal aid was evident through her significant contributions at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, where she represented clients before the Nova Scotia Superior Court and the Court of Appeal.

Alexa's legal acumen covers class actions, commercial litigation, construction and infrastructure, professional liability and regulation, and securities litigation. She was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2021, bringing with her an impressive educational background that includes a BA (Honours) in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of King's College, awarded in 2017, and her JD from Dalhousie University in 2020.
