Chris Lazaris

Chris Lazaris carved his legal path beginning with a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in 2014, where he delved into history and political science. His journey through academia was marked by active engagement, notably as a caseworker at the Community Legal Services clinic during his time at the University of Western Ontario, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2018. There, Chris defended plaintiffs in Small Claims Court and represented them before the Landlord and Tenant Board, showcasing an early commitment to advocacy. Additionally, his passion for uncovering and discussing emergent global policy issues led him to student journalism, particularly interviewing academics.

After being admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2019, Chris has been tirelessly working within the sphere of personal injury law. His dedication is evident in his handling of cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, denials of long-term disability, and disputes over accident benefits. Chris is recognized for his methodical yet assertive approach in securing favorable outcomes for his clients, a testament to his strategic and empathetic nature as a litigator. His proficiency sees him frequently advocating for his clients’ interests before the Superior Court of Justice and the License Appeal Tribunal.

Chris’s background includes positions at personal injury law firms, where he refined his litigation expertise. His pre-Thomson Rogers experience was diverse, including articling at a firm with a focus on litigation, real estate, and corporate transactions, and a summer stint at a national corporate law firm. These experiences contributed to a broad base of legal skills.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Chris’s interests span exercising, exploring historical and philosophical literature, and cherishing moments with his family and pet dog. His legal journey and outside interests reflect a balance of professional dedication and personal enrichment.
