Matthew Cressatti

As part of Miller Thomson's Restructuring and Insolvency Group, Matthew brings a fresh approach to navigating the complexities of CCAA and BIA cases, as well as informal restructuring strategies. His diverse clientele, ranging from creditors and debtors to court-appointed officers and potential acquirers, benefits from his adept handling of both local and international restructuring efforts.

In his practice, Matthew combines legal rigor with a strategic perspective, ensuring comprehensive solutions across a variety of challenging situations. As a member of both the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association, he is well-embedded in the legal community, staying abreast of evolving insolvency practices and laws.

Matthew's academic foundation, anchored by a J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and a B.A. from McGill University, provides him with a robust understanding of the legal and financial dimensions of restructuring and insolvency. Since being called to the Ontario Bar in 2019, his insight and dedication have made him a valuable asset to his team and clients alike.
