Michael Cleveland

Michael Cleveland excels in providing employers with strategic, real-time advice on various aspects of labour and employment law. His expertise spans employment standards, labour relations, human rights issues, occupational health and safety regulations, privacy laws, and wrongful dismissal cases. Michael serves clients across both provincial and federal jurisdictions, covering unionized and non-unionized environments alike.

Starting his career at Miller Thomson, Michael summered and articled with the firm, laying a solid foundation for his return as an associate. His academic journey culminated in a J.D. from the University of Toronto in 2019, followed by his admission to the Ontario Bar in 2020.

His academic excellence is underscored by a Distinction in his final year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and receiving the Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Prize in Taxation.

Michael's commitment extends beyond the courtroom. He has actively contributed to the community through roles like a volunteer student caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, a tutor with Law in Action Within Schools, and volunteering at Mississauga Community Legal Services.

He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and boasts an educational background that includes an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and International Relations from the University of Toronto, achieved in 2016.
