Arielle Iulio

Arielle made her debut at Mills & Mills LLP in 2023, stepping into the role of an Estate Litigation Associate with a keen focus on navigating the complexities of estates, wills, trusts, and capacity litigation. Her dedication to advocating for her clients across Ontario's courts is unwavering.

With a deep-seated expertise in estate and trust matters, Arielle skillfully handles will challenges, trust interpretations, account passings, support claims for dependants, disputes involving trustees and attorneys, and guardianship issues. She also offers comprehensive advice to trustees and fiduciaries on managing estate and trust administration, including securing certificates of estate trusteeship.

Before her time at Mills & Mills LLP, Arielle honed her skills in commercial litigation with a lens on estates and trusts at a nationally recognized law firm. Her legal journey post-2019 bar admission saw her contributing to a premier estate litigation boutique in the heart of Toronto. Arielle's breadth of experience is further enriched by her roles with the Ontario's Office of the Children’s Lawyer and Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee, positions she held during her articling and summer law student days, respectively.

Arielle's academic achievements are notable, with a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, alongside a Master of Social Work. Her time in law school was marked by hands-on experience in the Family Law division of Downtown Legal Services and contributions to human rights advocacy at the Ontario Human Rights Commission. Arielle's foundation in psychology and sociology was laid with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.

Her legal practice is broad, encompassing wills, estates, and trusts, estate trustee services, powers of attorney, probate, estate administration, trust, estate litigation, and guardianship and capacity disputes. Arielle's professional affiliations include the Law Society of Ontario, The Advocates Society, Toronto Lawyers Association, Canadian Bar Association, and she is a junior member among Trusts and Estates Practitioners. She also serves on the board of COTA Health, showcasing her commitment to community health and well-being.
