Ellie Slavens

Ellie Slavens holds a pivotal role at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto, serving as both Partner and the guiding force behind the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) Practice. Ellie’s extensive expertise encompasses the full spectrum of Canadian immigration law, including facilitating temporary work permits, study permits, and visitor visas, as well as guiding applicants through the pathways of Permanent Residence via Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs. Her proficiency in Labour Market Impact Assessment applications, along with managing Compliance Reviews under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program and Inspections under the International Mobility Program, sets her apart. Ellie is adept at navigating the complexities of criminal and medical inadmissibility, offering solutions through temporary resident permits and criminal rehabilitation.

Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2007, Ellie’s academic foundation was laid at the University of Western Ontario, where she earned her LL.B. in 2006, after completing her B.A. in Psychology in 2002. Her commitment to her field is further evidenced by her active membership in the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario, and the Ontario Bar Association.
