Patrick Corney plays a pivotal role in the Restructuring & Insolvency division at Miller Thomson LLP, bringing his wealth of experience in both Canadian and international corporate insolvency scenarios to the table. Patrick's expertise spans a diverse spectrum of sectors such as steel, tech, retail, cannabis, and energy, making him a versatile partner in navigating the complexities of restructuring cases. His journey in law began with a prestigious Seven Sisters firm where he honed his skills over six years before transitioning to a partner role at a renowned Toronto insolvency boutique, and eventually joining Miller Thomson.

His accolades include being recognized as a "One to Watch" by Best Lawyers in Canada for his contributions to Financial Services and Restructuring Law. Patrick's thought leadership is evident in his published works, notably his reflection on the Insolvency Institute of Canada's interventions and his analysis on litigation funding in CCAA proceedings, among others.

Patrick is also dedicated to giving back to the community, notably through his pro bono work with the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada.
