Brittany Cerqua

Brittany Cerqua, a key associate in our Toronto Litigation Group, showcases a diverse expertise in litigation, particularly in the realms of corporate commercial, securities, banking litigation, and professional liability. Her legal journey, marked by a notable bar admission in Ontario in 2020, reflects a deep commitment to addressing complex legal challenges.

During her tenure at law school, Brittany's involvement extended beyond academics; she contributed as a Teaching Assistant in contract law and supported the groundbreaking research of Professor Ian Kerr on law and technology. Brittany's initiative also led to the co-founding of the Ottawa Law Chapter of the First Generation Network, a testament to her dedication to making legal education accessible. Currently, she serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for this network's non-profit arm, furthering its mission to support first-generation post-secondary students.

Brittany's educational foundation is solid, with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Criminology from Ryerson University and a Masters in Socio-Legal Studies from York University. Her Juris Doctor, obtained from the University of Ottawa in 2019, further equipped her with a nuanced understanding of the law.
