Devon, an integral part of our Litigation Group in Toronto, is carving out a niche in commercial litigation and professional liability. His expertise shines in handling disputes stemming from intricate infrastructure and construction projects, alongside defending physicians against claims of professional negligence. Devon's legal prowess extends to representing clients across various forums, including Ontario and Federal courts, commercial arbitrations, and even a public inquiry, providing counsel to both commercial entities and public institutions on delicate issues.
After earning his JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2019, Devon's path in law was shaped by significant experiences, including working with the University Affairs Division at Downtown Legal Services and contributing to the Indigenous Law Journal and the Critical Analysis of Law Journal. His advocacy for migrant detainee rights at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights and his role as a peer mentor further highlight his commitment to legal service and community support.
Before joining McCarthy Tétrault as an associate, Devon honed his skills within the Civil Law Division of the Ministry of the Attorney General for Ontario, where he completed his articles. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours, from Queen’s University in 2016.
